The Kern County Regional Science Fair is seeking qualified judges for the April 1-2, 2008, competition. In serving as a Science Fair judge you will work with some of the brightest and most enthusiastic young people in Kern County. You also will have the opportunity to encourage possible future scientists and engineers to pursue their goals.

Important Dates:

For Judge Training:

March 25: 7:00-8:30 AM, University Square, 2000 K Street, Bakersfield, Room US#1 

Kern County Science Fair:

April 2:   Rabobank Convention Center (formerly Bakersfield  Convention Center):

8:15 - 8:45 Sign-in, Coffee and Pastries in Cotton Room, meeting team members and leaders

8:45 - 9:15 Judge Orientation (time varies by grade level)

                   High school--Grape , Middle School--Potato, Intermediate--Bank Room

9:15 - 10:00  Panel meetings and abstract reviews on the arena floor

10:00 - approximately 12:00    Project interviews, judging, and completion  of rankings and comments

After completion:  Lunch
